This editorial is so me. My aspirations right here... Oh if only I could live a life this luxurious. One day, I am determined to.
Fashionable designer dress and outfit, high-class French pastries, eating lady-like
Beauty-obsessed, quality cosmetics, innocent, youthful, feminine.
Expensive taste, care-free, a princess. The bubbles..
The cat face mask, the luxurious sheets, fancy pajamas, beautiful even asleep.

Sooo I just got a cautionary grade update for AP Spanish and apparently, I have a D-... Yes, that is pretty bad. I've never gotten D in a class but honestly I called it quits weeks ago and haven't been turning my things in.
That class is crazy hard since I'm not exactly "fluent" in espanol and am practically drowning in it. After seeing all those D's and F's in my grade file I've decided to have a new set of resolutions in homework.
- Do everything the day it is assigned. I just got this new Spanish project and am planning on getting a good chunk of it done today, even if it's do in like 2.5 weeks.
- Make a show of doing homework. Sometimes I just need to look studious for people in order to do my work. I'm vain like that, yes.
- Actually do the homework. At home. The day before. At least start. Once I get the ball rolling it's easier to keep going and finish. Never ever again say, "I'll do it tomorrow morning. I'll just get up earlier to do it. I promise." This never works!
- If seen by the teacher, put all your effort in there. And frankly, if it's daily work that's just checked if done, I won't even bother trying very hard on it.
- Actually read and follow along with the lessons. For AP Statistics and Physiology, I'm literally lost during lectures. I need to read independently, like college kids do.
- Do independent study. I need to do some extra work on my own to at least retain the information.
- Study. Don't wing any tests.
- No need to set aside time. Don't set aside time just for homework. It's an improvement in itself to do homework while doing other things like watching Gossip Girl. Better than procrastinating making homework time and not getting any done at all.

(@8:08 PM) Conceptual resolutions
0 Comments:
(Post a Comment)
Here are the six resolutions I had thought up for this year. Yes, they're slightly more conceptual and abstract but it's always good to have mental resolutions.
Conduct myself more femininely. Be more conscious of posture and stance. Act more gently and move more lady-like. Adopt good habits. Prefer cleanliness and neatness and find it pleasing. Don't indulge in food. Do not compulsively eat. Food can be enjoyed but not as a pleasure. Must be pickier about food. Live a healthier lifestyle. Adopt the healthy lifestyle of living a cleansed life and working out. Be less careless. Live off of intent. Not habit. Define interests. Advocate interests and stick by them. Do not change according to anyone else's interests. Labels: resolutions
(@6:05 PM) Resolutions with schedules: Room Organization by the day

Hey guys! It's still January and I'm still trying to implement my new New Year's Resolutions into my life. I've looked within myself and realized that I never stick with my resolutions due to the fact that I have no structure. I'm a step-by-step learner. I love DIY's, love step-by-step guides, love...algebra? Well, my point is, I have to live off of directions, set-in-stone guidelines.
So, my new big project is to tackle every resolution with a schedule.
I would now like to present my daily guide to room up-keep. This will be the schedule I'll be going by every single day, inspired by I Dream of Clean. Some of these, yes are repeats--most actually, with one or two main chores assigned just for that day. I also have "special" days each month assigned to a special project.
Bold items indicate the main chores of the day.
Monday:
Morning (before school):
Approx. duration: 5 minutes.
Afternoon (before homework, right after coming home):
- Add anything to to-do center. The to-do center is basically a physical to-do list. Put anything you have to take care of (appointments to be made, emails to be sent, homework lists) on a little table, a little organizer, whatever you have. Stick reminder post-it notes on for mental reminders.
- Put away tried on clothes and shoes from the morning. Any alterations to the outfit planned the night before.
- Put away makeup from the morning.
- Sort homework. Purge binder, reorganize papers, throw away unneeded papers lying around, hole punch any loose leafs.
- Empty to-do center. Do everything you added to the center from last night to just recently.
Approx. duration: 20 minutes.
Evening (after homework, before 7 p.m.):
- Clean desk. Useless papers, place pens and pencils back in their place, straighten up.
- Put things away. It's simple. Everything you see that doesn't belong where it does, put it back in its designated "home." Things on the floor, random things on the shelf, stray shoes. Put things without a home in the junk drawer.
- Choose outfit for the next day.
- Skim through clothing. Put anything that does not fit, is damaged, or does not look good on you in the assigned Donate bin.
- Put away tried on clothes.
- Straighten up clothing and shoes. Hang anything that's fallen, line up shoes. No need to organize.
Approx. duration: 1 hour.
Night (9 p.m., before bed):
- Bring in things from outside. Bring all your possessions back into the room. No need to put them away just yet.
- Throw away trash. Little things: clothing tags, used post-its, wrappers.
- Trash day. Take out trash.
- Find a home for one "junk" item. Everyone has a junk drawer full of miscellaneous things. Take out one junk item everyday and find it a home.
- Clean vanity table. Put away makeup, straighten up magazines, perfumer, etc.
- Prep homework for the next day. Put homework in binder, any signed forms. Print and pack any documents.
- Organize school bag. Make sure to have your wallet, I.D., required reading, and recreational reading. Pens, pencils, glue stick. Perfume, makeup to-go.
- 5-minute nightly pick up. Pick up anything you can see that isn't in its proper spot and place it in a bin. After 5 minutes, turn around and place everything back.
Approx. duration: 30 minutes.
Tuesday:
Morning (before school):
Approx. duration: 5 minutes.
Afternoon (before homework, right after coming home):

- Empty to-do center.
Approx. duration: 30 minutes.

- First day of the month: Day off! Enjoy your clean room!
- Seventh day of the month: Clean out makeup. Wipe everything down, purge, reorganize.
- Fifteenth day of the month: Clean out closet. Now is when we take everything out, critically evaluate, purge, and reorganize. Wipe down shoes, purge, donate. Reorganize shoes.
- Twenty-second day of the month: Purge junk drawer. Throw away anything that is actually junk.
- Last day of the month: Complete room clean-out. Wipe the walls, windows, sills, nooks, crannies. Put everything into place. Must be picture-perfect.
Welp, there you have it! My extremely detailed cleaning schedule. Hope you guys get something out of it. Tweak it to your own personal needs, maybe? I'm planning on getting this schedule rolling by February, meaning I have these few final days of January to prep. Clean everything completely, wash everything down, organize EVERYTHING. By the end of the month, the last day of the month, I'm planning on having a spick-and-span clean slate to start the schedule on. Wish me luck! I'll be sure to update.

Here's a lengthy piece dedicated to myself if you're curiously curious enough to want to know even more about me. I'm a girl born in 1995. Growing up, I've had a love for language that's been innate within me up until now. I've found an understanding in things such as English, fashion, and food, which comes to me without any clear reasoning. I'm not a fan of physics, chemistry, or even history. I feel my brain does not function the same instinctive way as it does with literature and design.
I'm a self-proclaimed non-conformist who doesn't like other people touching my stuff, so to speak. I like being individual and standing out. A pet-peeve of mine is being called normal. I have a few temporary companions, yet I aspire to be a full-fledged loner by the time I'm out of high school. I love having tons of friends though, I just prefer surrounding myself with the people I truly appreciate.
My taste in clothes changes every second. I have identity crises, I admit. But I know what I like, and my taste spreads out to a whole wide-set array of looks. I'm finding my way though, finding myself. My musical tastes lie solely within two categories: indie and oldies. I do not even touch hip hop and r and b (the "cool" music.) I don't have the appreciation nor understanding for either one.
Above all, my heart is stuck in olden times. I'm a huge retro, vintage, and antique enthusiast. I am fascinated with everything that is not within my time period. I lay mainly within the fifties and sixties. I cannot explain how badly I'd wish to travel back in time.
I'm a rather critical person, if you can't tell already. I have a true disdain towards the typical kids my age. I can't even explain. The tastes and the hypes and the music. I just don't see the aesthetics anywhere. Of course, not everyone. Mostly people from my school are who I'm criticizing. You can say I'm a "hater." I keep my distance, though. Just as I like it.
